When talking about the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, note that the U.S.-spec model will only be available in its long-wheelbase version. This is because the added size is a better match for the bigger American streets as well as the expectations for a larger SUV. This wheelbase stretch incorporates a sliding second-row bench and optional third-row seating.
